Music@Menlo
David Finckel and Wu Han are the founding Artistic Directors of Music@Menlo, the premier summer chamber music festival and institute in Northern California. Entering its seventeenth season in 2019, Music@Menlo features unique, immersive programming, a roster of world-class artists, and a Chamber Music Institute for emerging and pre-professional musicians; its signature offerings also include the acclaimed AudioNotes series of pre-concert listener’s guide recordings, the Encounter series of evening-length multimedia symposia, and a variety of other opportunities for audiences of all ages, whether long-time aficionados or newcomers to chamber music, to discover and engage with the art form in deep and meaningful ways. Since its inaugural season in 2003, Music@Menlo has quickly become recognized as a model of artistic excellence and innovation across the industry.
